This loom is a William Smith & Brothers tappet loom. It was manufactured in 1890 and was one of the first two power looms to be brought to the Mill in the 1920s. The loom is currently being used to produce scarves for a customer.

The cast iron waterwheel at Whitchurch Silk Mill was made by Taskers of Andover in the 1860s. The waterwheel was restored in the 1990s and more recently in 2004 and 2014. The basic layout of the Mill is similar to a traditional corn mill.
